Robin Calderwood is one of the many people that had their home destroyed due to the Creek Fire in Fresno/Madera Counties.
Not only did she and her husband Jim lose pretty much everything but their pets, she also lost all of her Search and Rescue gear. As a volunteer, the loss of just gear is huge
Robin joined the Fresno County Sheriff Search and Rescue team in 1999. Since then she has deployed on over 300 rescue missions including high elevation wilderness and urban searches.
In 2006 Robin started with the California Rescue Dog Association (CARDA) as a volunteer K9 Handler. She has trained 3 Mission Ready K9 partners and has deployed on over 100 searches in Trailing and Human Remains Detection with 3 finds and 4 assists.
In addition to all of the above Robin has been an evaluator with CARDA for 10 years. She has tested and mentored to many K9 teams to count on their way to MR status.
To say that Robin has a giving heart is an understatement. She has literally given blood, sweat and tears to help find those who have gone missing. With this gofundme it is our turn to give back to Robin and help replace her destroyed search and rescue gear that she lost in the fire. Packs, boots, snow gear, rain gear, first aid supplies, high angle rescue ropes, helmets, harnesses, GPS, K9 equipment, radios and so much more.
Thank you for your help.
