Help Reopen Canby Jiu Jitsu for Local Kids
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
We have an incredible opportunity, but we need your help to make it happen.
Recently, the beloved Sunshine Athletics, which served as a home for martial arts in our community, regrettably had to close its doors. This has left a gap in our local community that served as a space where children and families could come together to learn, grow, and support one another.
That’s where we come in.
We’re taking this opportunity to reopen the gym as Canby Jiu Jitsu, a non-profit focused on community outreach, empowering children, and fostering personal growth. Our mission is to provide affordable, accessible jiu jitsu training to people of all ages, with a special emphasis on helping future generations succeed. We believe in the power of martial arts to build resilience, discipline, and confidence—all vital life skills that we want to continue offering to the Canby community.
However, transforming this space into a community-focused non-profit comes with challenges. We’re asking for your support to help us cover:
- Renovations and operational costs to reopen the gym under this new vision
- Scholarships for local kids who need financial assistance to train
- Affordable classes that allow more families to participate
- Equipment and resources to ensure a safe and positive environment
By donating, you’re helping us create a space where kids can grow into confident leaders, where families can bond through shared experiences, and where the community can come together around the values of discipline, respect, empowerment, and service to others.
With your support, Canby Jiu Jitsu can reopen as a place that not only teaches martial arts but also gives back to the community in meaningful ways.
Thank you for helping us take this important step forward. Together, we can build something lasting for generations to come!
With gratitude,
Leah, Owen, Chris, and the Canby Jiu Jitsu Family
