For over a decade, I’ve been the steward of two disc golf courses at Sparkman Park in Hartselle. Living nearby, I’ve seen firsthand how these courses bring people together—over 1,000 players visit every year, with many traveling just to play here. Now, I’m working to make these courses even better for our community, especially for kids.

We’re planning a series of upgrades: 36 youth-friendly pin placements, new tee signs, concrete work to fix some of the tee pads, and landscaping with permanent island borders. These improvements will make the courses safer, more fun, and accessible for kids, schools, and churches. Our goal is to create leagues and tournaments for kids, giving them a unique place to stay active, compete, and grow. With two courses on our property, we have a special opportunity to build something lasting for the next generation.
