Help Renee Navigate Life After Matt's Passing

I am raising funds on behalf of Renee Hardesty.

Our good friend Matt "Coobie" Hardesty ended his life battling the demons in his head. We all knew Matt as one hell of a law enforcement agent in California. Due to some traumatic events which occurred during his career, he suffered a horrific injury to his head. Although Matt recovered from his injury to continue as a successful police officer and, with the grace of God, was lucky enough to eventually retire to North Carolina.

Those of us that knew Matt knew him as a great cop, desert rat, car enthusiast, drone pilot, and proud father of his son Hunter.

The change of pace from being a cop and all the adrenaline that comes with it stressed Matt out, dealing with being retired. He tried to find his way in his love for cars and doing contract work as a drone pilot instructor.

It brought on some bad decisions and left his wife to struggle to get over the loss of her husband and companion of over 32 years.

My hope is to help her navigate this time until his retirement benefits can get resolved. Whatever amount that can be shared would help soften this difficult time for Renee.
