Our family is reaching out during one of the most difficult times we’ve ever faced. What started as what we thought was a simple gout flare-up turned into a life-threatening ordeal for my husband, Rene. After being rushed to the hospital, we received the terrifying news that he had a tear in his aorta, leading to dangerous blood clots in his leg.

Over the course of his hospitalization, Rene endured six surgeries, including an emergency bypass in his leg to stop the clots. His recovery was further complicated by a rare one-in-a-million allergy to Heparin, a critical blood thinner, which made his treatment even more challenging.

Though Rene has fought hard and made progress, his journey is far from over. Due to the frequent blood loss in his leg, his mobility is still severely limited, and he has now developed gangrene in his toe raising the possibility of amputation.

Rene is not just a survivor; he’s a devoted husband and father to five beautiful children who rely on him every day. With mounting medical bills and the loss of income during his recovery, we are humbly asking for your support to help ease the financial strain and allow Rene to focus on healing.
