Help Remove Dangerous Tree on Neff!

Donation protected
Neff Avenue on the east side of Detroit has been slowly bouncing back after the mortgage crisis and the city's bankruptcy. But now another serious threat looms--a giant dying maple tree that is starting to drop branches, even when there is no wind. This past Sunday morning, the renter, Angeel awoke to a loud thump when several large branches fell on the house and in the yard at 4112 Neff. She was just happy it happened before her kids, ages four and five, went out to play.

This tree is so large that it has the potential to wipe out several homes should it fall. Without warning, it also can cause great harm or even death to the local residents.
(Sorry. It took two photos to show the whole tree.)

In most neighborhoods, people have funds for this sort of emergency. They can get an equity loan or a line of credit. But  here, most homes are bought for cash and most repairs are paid with cash, as the property won't appraise high enough for a mortgage.

This tree has become a major hardship for the homeowner and my neighbor, Demetrius, while he's out of state dealing with family crisis. But in the meantime, it's a serious threat to life and property on the 4100 block of Neff.

I got an estimate to remove the tree for $2400 from McDonald Tree Service. Any amount to put towards it will be of great help. We have five homeowners on this block who have worked hard to  maintain it, as well as countless residents who might be harmed if this tree is not removed.

Thank you so much! Even if you can't donate, thanks for taking the time to care. ;)
