Rebuild Hope for Jamaica’s Farmers After Hurricane Melissa
by Chris Rose – Jamaican Social Entrepreneur & Founder, IamVoluntourism
When the Storm Passed, Hunger and Hardship Remained
Hurricane Melissa devastated Jamaica’s farming communities — destroying homes, crops, and roads across St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland, Clarendon, and Montego Bay.
Many farmers lost everything:
Crops and livestock
Tools and irrigation systems
Homes and greenhouses
Access to food, water, and gas
Right now, families are struggling just to find food and clean water. Many cannot reach their farms or afford basic supplies.
But the Jamaican spirit is strong — and together, we can help them rise again.

Our Mission: Rebuild Hope, One Farm at a Time
Through IamVoluntourism and Stedi Medi Farms, we’re leading a community-driven effort to provide relief and restore livelihoods in the hardest-hit areas.
Your donations will help us:
✅ Provide food and clean water to families
✅ Replace tools and hardware for rebuilding
✅ Support farmers with gas, seeds, and materials to restart production
✅ Supply solar lamps and water filters where there’s no power or clean water
✅ Rebuild small farm networks and youth training programs

Why This Matters
Rebuilding isn’t just about fixing what’s broken — it’s about restoring dignity, livelihoods, and hope.
Jamaica’s farmers feed the nation. Helping them recover means helping entire communities stand strong again.

️ A Message from Chris Rose
“This land raised us. It taught us to plant seeds of hope even after the storm.
Rebuilding Farms — and supporting our fellow farmers — isn’t just my dream, it’s our lifeline.
Together, we can grow back stronger, greener, and more united than ever.”
— Chris Rose, Founder, IamVoluntourism & Stedi Medi Farms
