The man in this photo is my wonderful husband. In November of 2024 he got into a car accident. They did some testing and found some swollen blood vessels in the back of his brain. Through other opportunities they told him he needed more testing. Through that testing we found out he has a very enlarged blood vessel, which is the start of an aneurysm, and a malformation in his blood vessels. Since learning his diagnosis he had to step back from a lot of his responsibilities, He had to cut back at work, and not do anything that would cause his body stress, some days he couldn’t go to work at all due to migraines. He works in concrete so it’s been very difficult trying to navigate his hours and what he can do at work. He just had one of the bigger tests done and will be out of work for a few days, and then he will be out of work a bit longer in the future due to an operation to get the aneurysm out. The surgeon is very hopeful they will be able to operate. We are a one income household and while I know other people are in worse situations, this has been a very hard time for our family. We are trying to raise money to relieve some of the stress the bills will bring, and a little bit of a cushion so he doesn’t stress about providing when he should be resting his brain.
