In the past, families were more functional than today. Dad and mom are gone to work throughout the week. Kids are in school for more than 15 hours. All they know are their maids. Parents are very busy hustling. The remaining little time, dad is out with peers. Mom is doing the same. Kids have no connection to their parents. Everyone is on their electronics. No time for each other. Here in the US, families gather on Thanksgiving Day. Back in Uganda, it almost never happens.

We are calling for a Family Fun Day at Namasuba on 12/07/2025.

We plan to have games for kids, kids learning to bake, face painting for kids, water games, and the Namasuba Artisan Market doing an exhibition of skills with uniquely designed products and services.

Namasuba Artisan Market is an exciting community-based event that focuses on celebrating and promoting local artisans and their creations. This vibrant market specializes in a wide range of arts and crafts, artisan food & drink, photography, and an abundance of local and regional food offerings.

The market provides a unique platform for artisans to showcase their talents and sell their products directly to customers. By eliminating the middleman, shoppers have the opportunity to engage with the creators themselves, gaining insights and stories behind each piece.

We want families to be able to sit and eat together, enjoying the famous luwombo, pizzas, burgers, etc.

In the evening, we'll host a live band to play music for families together to beef up the evening so that families can enjoy to their best and re-ignite that family life which is almost getting lost.

Please contribute to us if you feel family life is important so that we enable all people in our community to have fun on that day.

It will be a free event as a way to accommodate as many people as possible.

We wish to have this event ongoing where instead of hiring and outsourcing castles for kids, machines for baking, machines for music, etc, if with time and with your help we can be able to purchase these, so that in the long run this event gets way cheaper for us and for families of Namasuba.
