I suffered a spinal cord stroke, that was caused by a staph infection on my spinal cord. The stroke caused me to become paralyzed from the nipples of my chest down to my feet .

I spent 56 days in the hospital.

My insurance company has turned down the approval for a power wheelchair. I can’t sit up without support of my back, so a standard non power wheelchair won’t work for me .

Being paralyzed I have several doctors appointments and physical therapy appointments every week.

I have to be transported by ambulance on a stretcher, due to the fact I don’t have a power wheelchair and handicap accessible van.
