Last night, April 23rd around 10:30 p.m., I received a phone call that no one ever wants to get, my dad’s house was engulfed in flames. By the grace of God, my dad, Reginald Turner, made it out safely, though just barely. We are so incredibly thankful he is still with us.
Tragically, his sweet and loving dog, Sassy, didn’t make it out in time.
If you know my dad, you know he’s one of the most selfless, hardworking people there is. He’s spent his life as a handyman, a true jack of all trades, always helping others, even when he has had very little himself. That house was his pride and joy, and everything he’s worked for over a lifetime was inside. Family photos, guitars passed down through generations, important documents, clothes, tools…. everything is gone.
My dad doesn’t have retirement or a financial safety net to fall back on, and right now he’s starting from nothing. We’re asking for any help you can give as we try to get him back on his feet. Donations will go toward basic necessities like clothing, bills, and most importantly, helping him secure a small trailer so he has a roof over his head during this time.
If you’re unable to give financially, your prayers and support truly mean just as much to us. I’m located in Susanville, for anyone wanting to reach out from the Redding, Burney or surrounding areas please message me. ANYTHING helps.
Thank you all for your love, kindness, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
