Emergency Care for Refugees in Lesbos

Hi my name is China and I am a UK dentist.

This year I will be traveling to Lesbos, Greece to volunteer to provide emergency dental care for refugees living in the refugee camp. I will be working with an entirely public funded charity Crisis Management Association (CMA).

The facility is funded entirely through charitable donations. The staff working there are all volunteers like myself. Any donations provided will go towards materials and facilities required for the continuation of the service. They also provide medical care and have an on site pharmacy.

All the refugees on the island have arrived there by boat - men, women and children - most escaping trauma/war/distress in the home country. Many have attempted the perilous journey by dinghy many times before they arrive on the island. They have no access other access to medical/dental care on the camp, other than that provided by volunteers like myself and CMA.

Any donations will assist us in being able to continue to provide this service for these people in such time of great need.
