Help Refugee Families: An Eagle Scout Project

Hi, my name is Durham Oostyen and I am raising money for my Eagle Scout Project. My project is supporting the non-profit organization, Contra y Viento Marea, by collecting donations to put together hygiene kits for the refugees.

Contra Viento y Marea (Against All Odds) is a kitchen and donation center run by migrants for migrants. Located in downtown Tijuana just two blocks south of the US/Mexico border, the kitchen provides free meals for 200-250 displaced people per day. The kitchen also offers clothing, shoes and hygiene items from community donations. When asked how they differentiate between migrants and others needing a meal, one of the kitchen’s founders said, "hunger is hunger." Your generous donation will help all of those who arrive at Contra Viento y Marea.
