Hi my name is Crystal Ludlow and I'm a childhood friend of Alicia's, who is Reed's mommy! She has been through a lot in order to start a family. It took her 12 years & many losses to have her first son Finn who is 2 yrs old. Her husband Gary and herself found put they were pregnant with baby #2 in the spring of 2021 & they were due to have their baby boy Feb 8th,2022. Well all that changed on Monday December 27th when she went to a routine OBGYN appt and found out that her liver enzymes were very high and she needed to go straight to UCONN (John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington,CT) to be monitored and she what the plan was for herself and the baby. She ended up being admitted and having blood work done and found out that her liver enzymes doubled and that the high risk Dr. told her that she had severe pre-eclampsia and it was best not only for her baby,but also for her health to have a csection. She delivered her son Reed Samuel Unden @ 34 weeks on December 28th,2021 @ 10:39am. Luckily Reed is doing well for a preemie born 6 weeks early and Alicia is healing from her csection. They are currently staying at a hotel that it taken care of until Friday January, 7th thanks to UCONN Hospital, but after Friday all expenses fall on herself and husband for hotel stay,traveling & food. They are a one income household and I'm asking if you can find it in your heart to help them in anyway possible so they can continue to stay close to Reed considering that their home is over an hour and a half away from the hospital where Reed is in the NICU. They are not people that ask for help ever. So I took this upon myself to make this for them to try and get them the financial help they will need during Reed's time in the NICU (which they have no date yet on when he will be coming home).
