Help Reed's Family after their loss
Donation protected
Our dear family member, friend, and loved one, Reed Watts, lost his battle with cancer on August 26, 2025. Reed leaves behind his wife, Mary Lee, and 2 daughters, Ellie (16) and Sarah Reed (14). They need our help as they try to put their lives back together. Let me tell you the story.
Many of you may have known Reed growing up, but you may have lost touch. He was the same old Reed. Funny as hell, smart as a whip, deeply caring, ravenously curious, seriously spiritual, a Clemson fanatic. He would pull his nose out of a book of Greek history to crack an off-color joke and laugh in only the way Reed could. Wearing his signature white oxford and khakis (cut-off, if it was summer). There was no one like him. Same old Reed.
Except that he became an amazing teacher, craftsman and artisan. A steadfast husband to a lovely woman of a wife. And more than anything a deeply devoted father to 2 beautiful young women. He poured himself into his girls, and it shows - they are amazing, like their father.
When Reed was diagnosed, he was relatively young and healthy. He hadn't gotten around to getting life insurance yet. Then - cancer. Of course, after being diagnosed, he was no longer insurable.
Overwhelmed with grief, Reed's family is now overwhelmed with the realities of life - bills, yard work, house cleaning, laundry, groceries, meal prep, home repairs, college tuition ...
Before he passed, Reed asked us to do one thing: "please look after my girls".
We put together this fund to help Reed's family cope with these demands. Please donate what you can. All proceeds go directly to the family.
And send your love.
