Earlier this week, Weston Molonglo Football Club canteen was broken into, leaving our volunteers and community absolutely devastated.

The offenders stole around 90% of our canteen stock and supplies — food, drinks, snacks, equipment, and essential items including our almost brand new Walkie Talkies, we rely on every single weekend to feed and support hundreds of players, families, volunteers, and supporters.

Our canteen is more than just a place to grab a sausage sandwich or bacon and egg roll. It helps fund junior football, supports our club facilities, and keeps our community connected every Saturday at Waramanga Playing Fields.

Everything we raise through the canteen goes straight back into supporting our players — especially our junior teams.

This has hit our volunteers incredibly hard. Countless hours go into preparing stock, organising supplies, setting up game days, and making the canteen a welcoming part of the club experience. To see so much taken in one night is heartbreaking.

We are asking our amazing community for help.

Funds raised will go directly towards:

* Replacing stolen food and drink stock

* Restocking BBQ and canteen supplies

* Replacing damaged or missing equipment

* Hiring temporary storage if needed

* Helping get the canteen fully operational again for upcoming game days

* Supporting future security improvements to protect the club
