Help Rebuild the Pacific Palisades' Community Toy Store
Donation protected
On March 26, 2022, after many late nights itemizing all the inventory in a rush to open in time, my best friend's mom and mom's best friend Amanda opened Loomey's Toys Boutique, which since then has been the Pacific Palisades' only toy store. On January 7, 2025, this beloved community toy store burned to the ground.
Amanda had fantasized about opening a toy store and creating a magical environment for kids and families to socialize and play in, and Loomey's was just that for the Pacific Palisades.
As it opened, my 2 best friends and I were Loomey's first employees. We met and got to know the little kids who would regularly come and spend their hard-earned allowance on a brand new toy carefully selected by Amanda. Loomey's grew to be the heart of the community, across the street from the local elementary school and down the street from the church pre-school. All of these schools have burned and all are determined to re-build.
The school will receive public funding and the church support of its constituents. Amanda needs our help to replace this beloved toy store at the same time.
I want to raise enough money so that Amanda can honor her commitment to reopening - Her dream is to work with the city to be open for the Holiday season in 2026. She needs money not only to replace her inventory but also all of the furnishings and shelving in her store - valued at over $300,000.
The Palisades will rebuild but it needs the core community stores and small businesses that made it so special to re-build along side. Please donate to Amanda and the children of the Palisades so they can re-open their beloved community toy store.
