Hello Everyone,

My name is Sydney Lockhart, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my grandmother, who has lost almost everything after Hurricane Melissa devastated our family home in White House, St. James.

Our house has been in our family for generations, it’s where my grandmother grew up, where she raised my mother, and where she helped raise me, my sister, and my cousins. It’s more than just a house; it’s a place filled with love, memories, and the heart of our family.

Sadly, Hurricane Melissa tore through our community and destroyed most of our home.

• The living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms all lost their roofs.

• Furniture and appliances were completely destroyed.

• Clothes and personal items were ruined by rain and debris.

Only one small section of the house, my room, is still standing, and that’s now where five of us are sleeping.

My grandmother, who is 63 years old, is heartbroken. She has lived in this home her entire life, and seeing it in ruins has been devastating for her. We’re trying to stay strong, but rebuilding feels impossible without help.
