Pacific Palisades Kumon Center- help Tricia rebuild
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Della Tebbi and I’m from Los Angeles. I work at the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Pacific Palisades, a place that is so much more than just a learning center - it’s a safe space where kids grow, learn, and build confidence in their abilities. Sadly, our center was destroyed in the Palisades Fire on January 7th. We have a long road to rebuild the center in a new space so we can get back to teaching the children in our beloved town.
Our students have been traumatized, losing their homes and schools. Parents have shared how sad their kids are that they can’t come to back to the center. They absolutely adore Tricia, as does everyone who works for her. Tricia’s been sent photos of displaced kids doing their kumon homework in hotels and Airbnb’s. They need to get back a semblance of normalcy and a familiar routine with people they know care about them.
Our instructor and owner, Tricia Cosentino, is also a Palisades resident who has been displaced by these fires. I have started this GoFundMe to help Tricia cover the costs of relocating and building a new center again, from the ground up. There is much work to be done, but Tricia is determined to make the new center just as amazing as the one we lost.
Every little bit helps, and all donations will go directly to the rebuilding efforts. In the meantime, Tricia is working on setting up a temporary space to teach so our students don’t lose momentum in their learning. Thank you so much for your kindness and support. It means the world to us and our community!
