Hi Everyone,

My name is Jada Michelle Batacan, I recently graduated from Xavier University with a B.S. in Marketing and moved back to my home state of Maryland to pursue my Master's degree. Within the month that I moved back home my house flooded and had become so water-damaged that it had to be torn down and rebuilt inside. While my family dealt with the repercussions of the water damage we were placed in temporary housing since August and have been living out of suitcases and hotels since then. We finally found a temporary hotel that offered a kitchenette, laundry, and hotel services to make it feel like home. Yet, this past Christmas my family was robbed at the place we temporarily called home and my mother lost precious items that belonged to her parents that have since passed, along with Christmas gifts and work-related items. As much as I love to fight for things on my own and put in the hard work without asking for help, things have been very hard these past few months and I would appreciate any help that you are willing to give. At this time we have been moved from the hotel we were robbed, moved to another that does not provide a kitchen, and are still awaiting contracts and funds to ensure our house is built back up. With that being said, any funds will be used to pay contractors to rebuild the house and buy food since we do not have any kitchen access.
