The past few days have been incredibly heavy for our family and community.

In the early morning hours, a devastating fire destroyed the building where Nevada Abraham operated her esthetics business, Nevada’s Beauty Haven. Thankfully, everyone is safe, but the space itself was a complete loss.

For the past six years, Nevada poured her heart into building her business inside that space. What began as a dream slowly became something special — a place where women came not only for skincare services, but also for conversation, confidence, and connection.

Nevada’s Beauty Haven was more than a treatment room. It was a place where people felt welcomed, cared for, and supported.

The building itself had grown into a small community of women-owned businesses supporting one another. Among them was Nevada’s mother, Sylvia Jones, who had operated her counseling practice, The Counseling Center of Southeastern Michigan, in that same building for over ten years. Being able to grow their businesses side-by-side made the space even more meaningful for both of them.

Within those walls were years of hard work, late nights, prayers, and the quiet determination it takes to build something from the ground up.

While we are incredibly grateful that no lives were lost, the fire has left Nevada without her workspace, equipment, and the ability to see the clients she has spent years building relationships with.

Anyone who knows Nevada knows how deeply she cares for the people she serves. Her clients are not just appointments — they are relationships built over time through trust, consistency, and genuine care.

This fundraiser was created to help Nevada begin the process of rebuilding after the loss of her workspace.

How the Funds Will Help Nevada Rebuild:

Rebuilding a small business after an unexpected disaster takes time and resources. Donations will help Nevada begin the process of getting back on her feet and serving her clients again.

Funds will go toward:

• Replacing esthetics equipment and tools lost in the fire

• Purchasing treatment supplies and skincare products

• Securing a temporary or new workspace

• Business setup costs for reopening

• Helping offset lost income while she works to rebuild

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps Nevada move one step closer to reopening Nevada’s Beauty Haven.
