I’m reaching out to you during a heartbreaking time for my family. My mother’s cherished business, Nahed's Boutique, located in Tebnine, a small village in South Lebanon, has been destroyed for the second time due to aerial bombardment. This shop has been the backbone of my parents' lives and the sole source of income for them in their retirement.

About Nahed's Boutique

Nahed's Boutique isn’t just any shop; it’s been a vital part of our community since it opened its doors in 2000, right after the end of Israel's occupation of South Lebanon. The boutique sells a wide range of men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, serving the needs of the entire village. It’s a place where neighbours and friends come to shop, chat, and connect with one another—a true symbol of Lebanese resilience and community spirit.

My mother decided to open this boutique after raising four children (I'm the oldest) once we were old enough to support ourselves, and the end of occupation in Lebanon. It was her dream to create a business that would provide for our family, while also contributing to the local community. Nahed's Boutique has been a labor of love ever since.

My mother helped inspire my own dreams of becoming an independent business owner and community builder here in Canada; I am doing what I can to reach out to our community here and support her during this challenging time.

Why We Need Your Help

This boutique is more than a store; it's the sole source of income for my aging parents. My father, a retired school teacher, relies entirely on this business to help cover their daily living expenses. Without support from the Lebanese government and no insurance coverage available to help with the costs of rebuilding, my parents are left in a desperate situation.

Despite rebuilding once before, this second tragedy has left them financially drained and emotionally exhausted. We're reaching out to the kindness of friends, family, and strangers to help them pick up the pieces and rebuild their lives once more.
