my name is Ei Ei and I am from Myanmar. I reaching out with a hoping heart to ask for your help in rebuilding my mother’s home in Myanmar, which was severely damaged by a recent 7.7 magnitude earthquake. This disaster has left her house in the terrible condition that makes it unsafe for her to stay there.

The Damage and Urgent Need for Repairs

The earthquake caused significant damage to the house, including:

• Severely cracked walls that threaten to collapse.

• A weakened foundation that makes the structure unstable.

• A partially collapsed roof, leaving parts of the home exposed to the elements.

• Damaged flooring and broken windows, making it difficult for her to live safely.

My family especially my mother have lived in this home for many years, and it holds not just her belongings but a lifetime of memories. Without a safe home, she is at risk, especially with the upcoming rainy season.

Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, she does not have the means to repair or rebuild it on her own. The cost of construction materials and labor in Myanmar has risen significantly, making it nearly impossible for us to cover these expenses without assistance.

Our goal is to raise $3,000 to help rebuild her home, ensuring she has a safe and stable place to live.

The estimated costs are:

• $1,200 for foundation reinforcement to ensure the house is structurally stable.

• $800 for wall repairs and plastering to fix the cracks and prevent further deterioration.

• $600 for roof reconstruction to replace broken sections and protect against rain and extreme weather.

• $400 for flooring and window repairs to restore safety and comfort.

Every dollar will go directly toward repairing the structure, reinforcing the foundation, and restoring her living space. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a difference.
