Prisoners No More: Helping Returning Citizens Rebuild Their Lives
In every society, people make mistakes.
But what happens after the sentence is served?
For many individuals leaving prison in Trinidad and Tobago, the real struggle begins at the prison gates. Without support, skills, or community acceptance, too many return to the same conditions that led them into prison in the first place.
Prisoners No More exists to change that.
Created by Jubilee Generation in partnership with the Catholic Prison Ministry, the Prisoners No More Rehabilitation and Reintegration Programme is an innovative 18-month pilot programme designed to help incarcerated individuals transform their lives before they return to society.
This programme focuses on true rehabilitation—not just punishment.
Participants receive:
• Personal development training that builds accountability, discipline, and purpose
• Psychological support to address trauma, anger, and deep-rooted challenges
• Mentorship and reintegration preparation to help participants rebuild family and community relationships
• Music education and creative expression, proven to stimulate cognitive development and emotional healing
For 14 years, Jubilee Generation has ministered inside Trinidad and Tobago’s prisons, using music, presence, and mentorship to remind inmates of something many have forgotten:
Their dignity.
Their humanity.
Their potential for change.
Now, through the Prisoners No More Programme, that ministry is expanding into a structured pathway that equips participants with the skills and mindset needed to become productive members of society.
Because when rehabilitation works:
• Communities become safer
• Families are restored
• Cycles of crime are broken
• Lives are transformed
But programmes like this require resources.
Your support helps provide:
• Professional counselling and psychological services
• Educational materials and training resources
• Music instruction and instruments
• Mentorship and reintegration support
• Programme administration and outreach
Every contribution helps someone move from incarceration to transformation.
We believe what many societies forget:
No life is beyond redemption.
Together we can help men and women leaving prison return not as statistics—but as parents, workers, neighbours, and contributors to our nation.
Help us prove that second chances change lives.
