Hi, I am Tajay, assisting my friends to raise funds for Hurricane Melissa relief on the island of Jamaica. They are four women living in Jamaica — Shamira, Jenny, Shantel, and Dawn — who met while volunteering as first responders in Petersfield, Westmoreland after Hurricane Melissa. Their backgrounds include social work, nursing, human resources, education and community care, and they have formed a grassroots relief movement called United 4 Good JA.
They live and work in Jamaica and are personally connected to the communities they are assisting. They have walked the damaged streets, met the families, and listened to their needs. Many of the people affected — including elders, single mothers, children, and persons with disabilities — have received little or no support. They are committed to staying with them through recovery, not just the first response.
How the Funds Will Be Used:
Every donation will directly support families in Westmoreland and St. Elizabeth with:
✅ Roof and home repairs (lumber, zinc, nails, labor)
✅ Basic food and hygiene supplies
✅ Solar lighting, power banks & clean water access
✅ Medical wellness checks & support for vulnerable individuals
✅ Essential items for children and elders
✅ Mental health and morale support activities
We maintain full transparency: all funds and supplies are documented, tracked, and shared with donors through updates and photos.
Why Your Help Matters:
These communities are still without stable housing, steady food access, and safe power. They need relief now, not weeks from now. Together, we can restore dignity, safety, and hope to the people most impacted by this disaster.
We invite you to join us — whether you’re in Jamaica or abroad. With your support, United 4 Good JA will continue to rebuild lives with purpose, compassion, and unity.
Thank you for standing with our communities.
Together, we rebuild.
