Help Rebuild Lives After Devastating Storm

Hello, my name is Jessica. I live in Greendale, WI with my husband and two teenage daughters. I am looking for help with my family who lost their house, cars and everything they own in Hurricane Helene. The water level got to 5 feet inside their house, and all furniture and appliances were destroyed.

My mom, Cheryl, my brother Terry, his partner and my 8 year old niece were all residing in their home in Redington Beach Florida when the storm hit. They were able to swim to a kind neighbor’s house nearby and are safe. It was really traumatic before they got the call from neighbors for help and thought they were going to drown. Thankfully they were able to live power, running water, clean clothes or much food for days. Currently, they are living in a hotel.

We are going to meet them in Florida and drive them and their pets that survived to live with us in our house in Wisconsin. They are all in need of new clothes and all personal care products, as well as housing/furniture eventually since our house is already full with myself, my husband and our two children and pets.

We’ve started purchasing beds and food for them as well as plane tickets and a rental vehicle in the meantime and it’s really adding up. Any donations would be appreciated as we help them rebuild their lives. They have some insurance for their losses, but it will likely take a long time to see any of that come their way.
