Lazenby Drive in East Nashville was hit hard by the recent tornado and needs help getting life on the block back to normal. Power is down, roofs are blown off or caved in, plumbing is damaged, fences are gone, and there is hardly a tree left in anyone's yard. Like lots of other homeowners in Nashville right now, the Lazenby community has been scrambling to rebuild what it can with the dozens of volunteers who have been kind enough to help remove trees and debris. But there's still a lot of work to do before everyone on the block can sleep easy again.
I grew up on Lazenby, and my parents still live there. People are overwhelmed and exhausted from last week's events as well as the resulting hardship and necessary labor. I am looking to raise $1500 for the homeowners of Lazenby Drive to help rebuild and cover the cost of damages. Funds will go toward deductibles, rebuilding and fixing roofs, plumbing, fences, windows, garage doors, and cars. Any amount that anyone can donate would be greatly appreciated.
