In just over twelve months, our family-run store has faced four attempted break-ins. Of those, two times the intruders were able to enter and burglarize our store, while the other two attempts, though unsuccessful, still left us with damage and a deep sense of violation. The most recent incident resulted in a busted door, broken locks, stolen supplies, and damaged equipment. Each time this happens, it shakes our sense of safety and makes it harder to keep our business running smoothly. We truly feel like we are being targeted, and it’s taken a toll on our family and our livelihood. What hurts most is that we used to bring our children to the store all the time, but after these attacks, we no longer feel comfortable having them there.

We are seeking support from our community to help us recover and protect our store. The funds raised will go directly toward repairing the damage to our door and locks, replacing the supplies and equipment that were stolen or destroyed, hiring a private investigator to help us seek justice, and investing in improved security measures like a security gate, added cameras, and other safety upgrades. As a young family and trusted members of our neighborhood, we want to continue serving our community without fear.
