Help Repair and Rebuild Jacqueline's Hurricane-Ravaged Home

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers,
My name is Kadian Fowler-Andrews, a Jamaican, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help on-behalf of my family. My mother, Jacqueline Coke, recently experienced a devastating hurricane name Beryl that destroyed the contents and roof of her home in the district of Newcombe Valley, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. This category 4 hurricane has left her, her husband and my two sisters without a safe place to live, and we are in urgent need of support to fix her home and restore a sense of normalcy to their lives please.
My mother has always been the rock of our family, a beacon of love, strength, and resilience. Her home (for over 20 years) was not just a structure; it was a sanctuary filled with memories, warmth, and love even for me because that is where I grew up. She opened her doors to everyone, providing comfort and support to friends and neighbors in times of need. Now, she finds herself in a position where she desperately needs our help.
On Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024, a powerful category 4 hurricane named Beryl swept through Jamaica, causing unprecedented destruction especially for her parish (St. Elizabeth) in Jamaica. My mother's home bore the brunt of this disaster, leaving it uninhabitable. The roof was torn off completely, ceiling support collapsed causing rain from the hurricane to flood the house and cause substantial damage to their belongings. My step father, mother, two sisters and my three years old baby had to evacuate the house in the middle of the hurricane, holding unto each other as they tried to get to the house next door safely. The wind was so strong that it even separated them at one point but thanks be to God they made it over safely. It all happened so fast, that the only things they could save before rushing out in the middle of the storm was the clothes on their backs and their personal documents. The aftermath has been overwhelming, traumatic (especially for my three years old son), and the cost of rebuilding is beyond our family's means.
We are EXTREMELY GRATEFUL to God that no lives were lost. However this natural disaster-BERYL, has left my mother, her husband and little sisters without a safe place to live, stripping them of their security and comfort. Starting over is incredibly daunting, and the emotional and financial toll is immense. I am determined to help them back on their feet, but I cannot do it alone.
We are aiming to raise $19,500 to cover the costs of the damages to my mother's home. This includes:
Structural Repairs: Rebuilding the roof (hopefully decked roof), repairing and securing walls.
Furniture, Appliances and Personal Belongings, stationery items: Replacing items that were destroyed in the storm.
