On February 5th, local Youngsville couple Sammy & Earlene experienced the heartbreaking loss of their home due to a fire. Thankfully, they are both safe, but they now face the daunting challenge of rebuilding their lives from scratch.
As their family, we are doing everything we can to support them during this incredibly trying time, but they still need help from our community. We are seeking donations to assist with their immediate needs — including fuel for generators, dumpsters, a storage unit, food, clothing, and other essential items as they work through the long and difficult journey ahead.
Unfortunately, home insurance will not cover the loss, meaning in their 70s Sammy and Earlene must rebuild their entire lives from the ground up. Any support you can provide, no matter how small, would mean the world to us!
This is an incredibly tough moment for them, and any support you can provide would mean the world to us. Your kindness and generosity during this challenging time would be deeply appreciated!
**2/10 UPDATE:** Cleanup began this weekend to see what, if anything, can be salvaged. Most of the items that were not destroyed by the fire were damaged by smoke and water. Thank you to everyone who lent a hand or brought supplies. The weeks and months ahead will be incredibly challenging, and we appreciate your ongoing support!
