Update 3/13/25: We got the call today that unfortunately a storm has hit that knocked out the failing part of the wall of my girls' childhood home. :( Thankfully the girls' stepmom and two siblings that were inside are ok. They are displaced with other relatives right now until we rebuild. Pictures attached. Girls are handling it ok despite the fact that their dad built the home and they feel optimistic that we get to help. Thanks to all that have. We appreciate you and your hearts. Photos below are in my girls' country from when we revisited in 2024, of Abigaelle and Mama Frances. Frances lives in the family home behind them in the photo.

We are doing some fundraising for my girls' family home in Central African Republic and we need your help. It was built by their father right before he passed, and therefore is a great source of pride and sentimentality for the family. It is also where Grace grew up until age 10 and Ab until age 5. However, it is in disrepair from 20 years of termites, weather, poverty and civil war.

So... if you have it in your heart to help, we have asked the family for a cost analysis and they have submitted a break down of everything from transport of materials to labor and supplies, for the repair of the home. In a country where no one has vehicles and finding supplies is tough and must come from several villages away, all these things need to be considered. I'm proud of them for submitting a proposal to us as we continue to try to teach business and planning to them as they do not have that opportunity in their country. We are hoping to repair/rebuild the home and put in concrete floors for the first time.

Here are photos of my girls in 2024 in front of the home with "Maman Frances", mother of some of their siblings, and the woman that raised them for some time in the home where she still resides to this day. As well as an old photo of Ab that we saw inside the home. I assure you, every cent goes so far in this country as we work toward helping the Eguena family's goal to restore the family home!
