Last night, my brother Kyle, his wife Veronica, and their young daughter experienced something no family ever expects.

In the middle of the night, their dog Hank started barking urgently, which was completely out of character. When Kyle got up to take him outside, he discovered that their work shed was fully engulfed in flames.

That shed wasn’t just a building. It was their livelihood. It was everything.

Kyle immediately called 911 and rushed to get Veronica and their 14-month-old daughter safely out of the house. Thankfully, everyone made it out unharmed. The shed was detached, but the flames were blowing toward the house. The heat was so intense that the pain on their home began to bubble and even shoes left on the porch melted. It could have been so much worse if Hank hadn’t woken them in time.

We are incredibly grateful they are safe. But the loss is devastating.

Kyle and Veronica run a small family business called “Forest Floor Foraging.” Kyle has spent over 30 years collecting and curating beautiful rocks, crystals, moss and natural elements. Through their Etsy shop, they built a successful business with over 10,000 sales, and this is how they support their family.

This is their only source of income.

Everything is gone.

Their entire inventory.

Decades of carefully collected stones and gems.

All of their moss and natural materials.

All of their power tools and equipment, which are essential not only for their business, but for maintaining and living on their land day to day.

In a single night, they lost their ability to work, earn, and provide.

This wasn’t just a business. It was their life’s work and their family’s stability.

We are asking for help to rebuild what was lost and give Kyle and Veronica a chance to start again. Funds will go toward replacing essential tools, rebuilding inventory, and helping them get back on their feet so they can continue supporting their family through the business they’ve poured their lives into.
