Help Rebuild Elder Mide'Kiwenzie White’s Roundhouse

Donation protected
Hello everyone- friends, relatives, and supporters—my name is Mide'Kiwenzie White, or Alo White in English. I come from my ancestral homeland in Naotkamegwanning First Nation, near Lake of the Woods, Ontario.

Over 32 years ago, I built a small 20x20 roundhouse where I’ve welcomed people for traditional healing ceremonies, teachings, and community gatherings.

Today, that roundhouse—our place of healing—is falling apart. The roof, walls, and floor have been damaged by many seasons of rain, snow, and time. Mold and rot now make it unsafe, especially in the cold and wet months.

I am reaching out with humility and hope. I live on a limited pension and cannot afford the materials or labor to rebuild on my own. With your kindness, I hope to dismantle and rebuild the roundhouse so it can once again provide a safe, all-season space for ceremony and healing for all who seek it.

I thank each and every one of you for the kindness in your heart to help me out. In return, you are helping many, many people. They say when you help somebody, it comes back at you tenfold. And what it means is it gives us life.

Miigwech.
