Help Rebuild Cece’s Salon After Devastating Fire

Donation protected
Yesterday we were celebrating something special. Cece’s had just marked its 4 year anniversary - four years since opening the doors to a salon that started as a dream and grew into a place filled with loyal clients, friendships, and so much pride.

Today, that dream has been devastated.

After a massive fire in the building on Union St in Glasgow, Cece’s salon has been completely destroyed, leaving Cece’s and so many other businesses unable to operate. While we are incredibly grateful that no one has reportedly been hurt, the reality of seeing something built with so much love and hard work gone so suddenly is heartbreaking.

Cece’s isn’t just a salon - it represents years of determination, sacrifice, and passion. As a female small business owner, Courtney worked tirelessly to build something of her own from the ground up. From the very beginning she poured everything into it: long days, late nights, personal savings, and endless care to make sure every client who walked through the door felt welcome and looked after.

Every chair, mirror, product, art, and piece of equipment in the salon was chosen with care. Over the last four years Cece’s has grown into something truly special, supported by an amazing community of clients and friends.

Tragically, this business is Courtney’s only source of income. In one day she has not only lost the salon she worked so hard to build, but also her ability to earn a living. Running a small independent business in the UK is already incredibly challenging, and losing everything so suddenly has created a situation that is both emotionally and financially devastating.

Many people have already reached out asking how they can help, which is why we’ve created this fundraiser.

We have set an initial goal of £10,000 to help replace the most essential items needed to rebuild and reopen the salon. Starting again from scratch is incredibly expensive, and the funds would go towards things like:

• Salon chairs and styling stations – £4,000–£6,000
• Backwash basin units and plumbing equipment – £3,000–£4,000
• Hair tools and electrical equipment (dryers, clippers, straighteners, etc.) – £1,500–£2,000
• Salon furniture, mirrors, and reception area – £2,000–£3,000
• Professional hair products and stock – £1,500–£2,500
• Setup costs

The £10,000 goal won’t cover everything, but it will help provide the foundation needed to start rebuilding Cece’s and give this small business a chance to come back.

If you’ve ever visited the salon, supported the business, or simply believe in supporting small independent businesses, any contribution (no matter how small) would mean the world.

And if you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would help more than you know.

Cece’s has always been built on community, kindness, and support. We truly hope that with the help of the people around us, this won’t be the end of Cece’s story but the beginning of rebuilding it.

Thank you for the love, kindness, and support during such a difficult time.
