Help Rebuild Adelita's Life After Fire

Hello everyone, my name is Jasmin Hernandez. I am here doing this fundraiser for our grandmother, Adelita Hernandez who is 83 years old and who recently lost her home due to a fire that started in the attic. She has been renting this property for over 30 years and is a respected member of her neighborhood. She has helped her neighbors when they've needed it and given when she can. Her and her 2 sons were asleep at the back of the house but thankfully the neighbors next door were urgent to knocking on the door to help them get to safely.

This home contained endless amounts of childhood memories, especially of her beloved husband they both built that foundation for their family. Everyone in the family would come and stop by her house for comfort and some peace. She now has nothing left, everything was destroyed including her old pictures and all her memorial items that were passed down from generations. Things that she wanted to kept from her deceased son, daughter and husband who all passed not to long ago during the pandemic. We will never be able to replace these memorable items, It’s devastating because she could feel their presence inside the home but now it’s gone.

Staying in faith and knowing our good Lord will guide us on this tragic journey (yet once again) does give solace. Times are hard which leads me to request your donations feel even more burdensome but her next steps will be extremely difficult without some help from others. We love her so much and we'll do all we can but expenses will be high. She's lost so much.. Please open your heart to her.. Anything will help for us to place her at a new home and fill it with new things. She’s still in shock and can’t believe that all her hard work is gone in the blink of an eye and the enormity of the situation hasn't really sunk in. Just imagine witnessing your life just burning away right before your eyes and not being able to grab anything not even shoes.
