Help Rebuild a Home and Hope for an Elderly Couple

Donation protected
Hello, we are reaching out with truly heavy hearts to ask for help for an elderly couple (ages 73 and 89) of our community who have just endured something no one—especially at their age—should ever have to go through.

On Sunday March 22, 2026 their home was forcibly entered by law enforcement officers searching for someone who was not there. This was NOT a raid. What followed was devastating. Doors were kicked in, windows shattered, and cabinets ripped from the walls. But the damage didn’t stop there.

Holes were punched through the bathroom and bedroom walls. The ceiling was torn out of their closet and even parts of the basement. Their bedrooms were left in complete chaos—personal belongings thrown everywhere, cherished items damaged or destroyed. Furniture was broken. Bathroom fixtures were ripped out so violently that water pipes burst, causing even more damage to their already shattered home.

As if that wasn’t enough, the officers also tear gassed the entire home. The chemicals have soaked into their furniture, clothing, and personal belongings—leaving behind contamination that is difficult and costly to clean, and in many cases, impossible to fully restore. Items they have owned for years, filled with memories, may now have to be thrown away.

This wasn’t just property damage—it was their sense of safety, their peace, and their dignity.

These are two elderly individuals already battling serious health challenges, living on a fixed income. Now, they are left trying to pick up the pieces of a home that no longer feels livable, let alone safe. The emotional toll has been overwhelming. The cost to repair everything is simply more than they can bear.

We are asking, from the bottom of our hearts, for any support you can give. No amount is too small. Every dollar helps bring them one step closer to restoring not just their home, but their sense of security and comfort.

If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this. Spreading the word can make all the difference.

Please help us remind them that they are not alone—that kindness still exists, even after something so frightening and painful.

Thank you for your compassion, your generosity, your heart and prayers.
