I’m reaching out to ask for help for my sister and her family, who have just lost everything in the recent floods.

While she was away visiting our sick mum, devastating floodwaters swept through her home, rising to about half a metre inside. By the time she was able to return, it was too late—everything had been destroyed. Furniture, clothes, appliances, personal belongings, and all of her kids’ things are gone.

To make things even harder, she wasn’t able to get insurance due to being in a flood zone, so there’s no safety net to fall back on. She’s now facing the overwhelming task of starting again from nothing.

This has been incredibly tough on her and the kids. What should have been a simple trip to support family has turned into coming home to complete devastation.

We’re raising funds to help cover:

-Essential household items

-Clothing and school supplies for the kids

-Basic furniture and appliances

-Immediate living expenses while they get back on their feet
