Hi everyone!
I’m fundraising to help my daughter, Rebecca, take part in an incredible opportunity this July 2026— a trip to Uganda with Edukid, a UK-registered charity dedicated to removing barriers to education for children living in poverty and conflict around the world.
Why This Trip Matters
Edukid believes that every child has the right to an education and works alongside local communities to help children access school, stay in school, and dream big for their futures. In Uganda, where many families cannot afford school fees, uniforms, books, or even basic supplies, Edukid supports children to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future.
By travelling with Edukid, Rebecca will:
• Visit local schools and communities supported by Edukid.
• Hear the stories of children whose lives are transformed through access to education.
• See firsthand the challenges families face — from long walks to school, to limited resources that most of us take for granted.
• Learn what it truly means to be a global citizen — caring for others and understanding the world beyond her own experience.
A Life-Changing Experience
This trip isn’t just a chance to travel — it’s an opportunity to connect with incredible children and families, and to witness the power of education to change lives. It will shape how she sees her role in the world and encourage her to be a compassionate change-maker.

How You Can Help
We are raising £1950 to cover the costs of the trip, including travel, accommodation, and support for the work she’ll be doing on the ground.
Any contribution — big or small — will make a real difference. Your support will help empower not only her, but also the children she’ll meet in Uganda whose lives are being transformed through education.
Rebecca is looking for jobs she can do in our local area such as babysitting and tutoring primary school children. We are also working on sponsored events and will be sharing on this page in due course.
