Help Rebecca and Cody After Life-Altering Crash

(See Updates below)
I am Teri DeBlasio, and my niece Rebecca Ingram and her significant other Cody Mobley are in need of help.

Cody had a terrible accident on January 8, when he was on his way to a store with his fellow workers before work, when a girl that was on drugs ran a red light and blindsided all of them in the car. Cody was in the backseat and got the worst of the injuries.

The ambulance rushed him to the hospital where he needed emergency neck surgery. He currently is in the ICU and has no feeling below his rib cage. They are hoping the swelling goes down and he will be able to walk. But as of now, they expect him to be in the hospital for two weeks and then onto a rehab center.

In the meantime, there is no income in the home from Cody’s side as he will be out of work for who knows how long. He’s got two beautiful kids that he’s very worried about along with his girlfriend Beca. Rent is over $2,400 a month, and now they’re going to have to look for a place that’s possibly wheelchair accessible. This is all just the beginning.

If you can help, your donations will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for anything you can do.

01/14/25 we have some positive news, Cody is feeling sensations in his legs, and it’s able to feel a touch on his toes, we hope this is a good sign. We pray every day that his changes keep going.

thank you so much to those who have given what they could for Beca and Cody and for their family. We have a long way to go, but we are staying positive!

01/15/25-Beca and I thought we'd share a photo of Cody. He is such a sweet person.

01/17/25 just an update. Cody is finally out of the ICU, and the plan is to go to a rehab center soon. He still has no movement in his lower body, but does feel some sensations.

Thank you again for all that have given your gifts, it is helping Beca with childcare and towards the rent as she still has to work.

She has signed up for housing assistance, and food stamps, but that’ll take about 30 days to see if she’s approved.

Thank you again and I’ll try to keep you updated. ❤️

an update on Cody. This week has been a roller coaster of emotions. Monday Cody went to a rehab facilities specific to his injuries. Tuesday they looked at the previous x-rays and said they didn’t think he’d walk again. This was, I think, something they could’ve held back until they were sure. But they went ahead and did more scans and reevaluated him on Wednesday. By Thursday they had said he had an 80% chance of walking again. Such a roller coaster week. Now they have them on a plan of four weeks of therapy and they’ll reevaluate him after that. They expect this to be a six months process.

Thank you again for all your prayers. I know this is what’s making the positive come out of the negative.❤️
