Hello, my name is Rebeca. I am trying to raise funds for the funeral costs and to be able to send my husband’s body, Jimmy, to our home country in Nicaragua.

Jimmy is only 27 years old and he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in October of 2023. Since his diagnosis, he never gave up and was always positive that he would overcome it to see our son grow. Even though he had such advanced cancer, he never lost his faith. They had to remove his colon. Then the cancer spread to his intestines, and the doctors updated us that the chemotherapy would only help to prolong his life but that his chances of survival were not good. Through all of this, he always kept a positive attitude, giving his 1,000% every day. We depended on both of us working to maintain our household, and he continued to work even with the chemo.

Jimmy is a wonderful person, a good man, father, friend, and husband. He is a person who has fought tirelessly for his dreams, but unfortunately, since October 2023, he has faced a tough battle against stage 4 colon cancer. Unfortunately, when the disease was detected, it was too late, despite undergoing chemotherapy, operations, and treatments for more than a year to survive.

Recently, the cancer has metastasized throughout his belly, creating obstructions throughout his intestines. In addition to that, he has a perforation in his intestines caused by the cancer, which no longer allows him to eat or drink. We have reached a point with this disease where there are no more medical options that can solve his situation. All of his doctors have checked him, and they let us know that we just need to wait for him to pass on to a better life. The doctors no longer have any more options for him, and due to his state of health, they told us that he only has a few days left to live.

As of Monday of this week, he is in hospice care in the hospital. We are with him in his last days, and I have not been able to work.

From the bottom of my heart, we need your help to be able to give him a dignified rest and make his last wish come true, for his body to be sent to our home country, Nicaragua.
