Dear friends, family, donors, supporters, and members of our community,

My name is Luna Bosca, and I am a Board Member of Rays of Resilience Foundation Inc. As a full-time student, I have had the privilege of working closely with our CEO, Romano Corona, in supporting the mission of Rays of Resilience and the children we serve.

I am creating and maintaining this fundraiser to help support the ongoing needs of Rays of Resilience Orphanage and the children in its care. Our mission is rooted in compassion, faith, education, and the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and experience love and dignity.

Why This Fundraiser Was Created

This fundraiser was originally established during an unexpected and difficult period for our organization. Our CEO, Romano Corona, suffered a serious injury and required hospitalization. During his recovery, our organization faced challenges accessing its usual fundraising resources while the children had immediate educational needs that could not wait.

With gratitude to God, Romano has since made progress and is now out of the emergency room. We continue to pray for his recovery and give thanks for the progress made during this season.

When the immediate need arose, our community came together to help provide scholastic materials for the children as they prepared for school. Our initial fundraising goal was $650, and we are deeply grateful for the generosity, prayers, and encouragement that have helped us work toward that goal.

What began as an urgent effort to meet an immediate need has grown into an opportunity to continue supporting the children and the broader mission of Rays of Resilience.

How Your Donations Will Help

This fundraiser will serve as an ongoing source of support for the needs of Rays of Resilience, including the children of our orphanage.

Depending on the organization's needs and available resources, donations may help provide:

Education: Scholastic materials, school supplies, books, and other educational necessities.

Daily essentials: Food, clothing, hygiene products, and other basic necessities for the children.

Health and well-being: Essential items and support for the children's welfare, as needs arise.

Seasonal giving: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and holiday initiatives intended to bring additional support, care, and joy to the children.

Ongoing organizational needs: Other essential expenses directly related to the organization's mission and the care and support of the children we serve.

Our goal is to respond responsibly to the needs that arise and to use the generosity of our supporters to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children.

Donations will be directed toward eligible organizational and program needs in accordance with the organization's arrangements and the purpose of the funds. We are committed to communicating openly about our fundraising efforts and providing updates as the work continues.

Why This Mission Matters to Me

My involvement with Rays of Resilience is deeply personal. Working alongside our team has given me the opportunity to learn more about the children, their lives, and the importance of consistent support.

I am especially grateful for the opportunity to connect with the children, and I am looking forward to visiting them in Uganda during spring break, Lord willing. I am excited to meet them in person, spend time with them, and continue learning how I can serve alongside the Rays of Resilience family.

Looking ahead, I also hope to help organize and support our Thanksgiving, Christmas, and holiday fundraising campaigns so that we can continue working toward meeting the children's needs throughout the year.

As a Christian, I believe that serving others is one way we can put love into action. I am reminded that we are called not only to care for one another in words, but also through our actions, generosity, and willingness to help carry one another's burdens.
