On June 12th my Uncle Adam fell 12 feet to the ground, shattering both of his ankles. He was transported by ambulance to Lewistown Hospital where he was stabilized. Early morning hours of June 13th, he was life flighted to Great Falls where he underwent emergency surgery to stabilize the bones. By 10AM Friday, he was once AGAIN life flighted to Billings because there was no Ortho Surgeon available in Great Falls. To date what we know is that the left ankle joint is obliterated, and will need complete and total reconstruction. The right ankle and tibia were a compound fracture. The impact was so violent and hard, the tibia bone punctured the right ankle joint area. At this time Uncle Adam is being told that the swelling needs to go down in order to have surgery. While he waits the hope is there is a facility in Billings that will take him, because going home will not be an option for him.

Uncle Adam is a father of 4, and his wife Raynah is 8 months pregnant with their 5th child. Unfortunately Aunt Raynah is having complications during the pregnancy. The family needs prayer, love and support. With Adam out of work, this family has zero income. Raynah will need help with bills, fuel money to commute back and forth and to help pay for child care. Uncle Adam and Aunt Raynah are not equipped at home for the kind of after care Uncle Adam will need. There’s simply not enough room. (If anyone knows of a larger home for rent please let us know.) Aunt Raynah is facing a very long road. Caring for 4 children and ready to have their 5th, trying to manage things for Adam, all the commuting ahead of her is just overwhelming to think about. Uncle Adam will likely be out of work for close to 18 months.
