Help Ray Giroux Get a Reliable Car

Donation protected
My name is Adam, and I’ve known Ray Giroux for over 20 years. Ray was my very first landlord when I moved to Maine, and I’ll never forget how grateful I was to rent from him. I had looked at many other apartments in the area, and none of them met the standards I was hoping for—until I found Ray’s. Even though he didn’t have unlimited resources, Ray invested an incredible amount of time, effort, and care into his property. His dedication and hard work left a lasting impression on me and ultimately inspired me to start my own business in short- and long-term rentals, with a focus on excellence in the Bangor area.

Ray has spent his entire life in education. From his time working at the school in Greenville to his years at John Bapst in Bangor, where he eventually served as vice principal, Ray made it his mission to support and enrich the education of local youth. His commitment to serving his community is one of the many qualities that make him such an inspiring person.

Now at 80 years old, Ray relies on a fixed income from Social Security and a part-time summer job on the Katahdin boat in Greenville as a deckhand. Recently, the car I bought him 13 years ago, a Volvo XC60, has reached the end of its road. To help Ray continue living independently and comfortably, I’ve created this GoFundMe to hopefully inspire others to help provide him with a reliable car that will last him another 13 years.
