Hi everybody-
I’m reaching out on behalf of a beloved family member, my cousin Ray.
Ray is a gentle soul with special needs who has worked incredibly hard to build a life of independence. He’s been a dedicated dishwasher at McDonald’s for over 5 years, showing up day after day with a strong work ethic and a kind smile for everyone he meets. Despite living with challenges most of us can’t imagine, Ray has never asked for much. He lives simply, finds joy in watching sports, and lovingly takes care of his pet fish.
This past Wednesday, Ray’s only means of transportation, his truck, was stolen from his apartment parking lot. It was old but reliable, and it was everything to him. Sadly, the police have not recovered it, and we have little hope that it will be found.
Without a vehicle, Ray has no way to get to work. There’s no public transportation where he lives, and ride shares are not a sustainable option. He lives paycheck to paycheck on his modest disability income and wages, and missing work even for a few days puts him at serious risk of falling behind on rent and bills.
I’m his full-time caretaker and I do what I can, but this is bigger than what I can manage alone. That’s why I’m asking for help, from friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,to raise funds so we can get Ray a safe, reliable used car to get him back on the road and back to work.
Any amount, no matter how small, will make a difference in Ray’s life. If you’re not able to donate, sharing this campaign would mean the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. From the bottom of our hearts, we appreciate your support more than words can express.
With gratitude,
Stacey and the rest of the Biermann family
