Hi everyone,

I’m Grum, and I’m raising funds to give my son Raven an opportunity I never had – the chance to properly train as a DJ and build something real for his future.

Raven is 8 years old, was born premature, has Crouzon syndrome, and has already had several operations throughout his young life. He’s also partially deaf and we believe he may be on the ADHD/autism spectrum, which makes this journey even more important. Despite all these challenges, he’s an incredibly bright, resilient, and creative kid – and music gives him focus, energy, and joy.

We’ve been given the chance for Raven to train with the DJ Archie School (Centreforce 883 Academy) – run by DJ Essex (Stuart), whose son Archie is a world record holder as the youngest DJ in the world and now DJs all over the globe.

And now the cherry on top – Mrs Magoo has agreed to personally teach Raven, giving him the chance to learn from one of the UK’s most respected DJs. What an honour!

Normally this kind of training would cost much more, but thanks to the amazing support from Centreforce, we only need to cover Raven’s tutor fees – £550 in total.

This isn’t just about Raven. The DJ Archie School has already trained amazing young DJs like DJ BlindBeats (who is blind) and others whom have built confidence, found their voice, and made real careers in music. It proves how powerful music can be for kids who need a different path.

What this means for Raven:

• 8 weeks of professional DJ training at DJ Archie School.

• Learn directly from Ms Magoo and other experienced DJs/mentors.

• At the end, he’ll be performing live in front of friends and family.

• Most importantly, it gives him a platform to build on – confidence, friendships, creativity, and maybe even a career in music.

This is more than just lessons. It’s about giving Raven an escape from the humdrum of everyday life, a chance to shine, and the opportunity to grow in ways that will stay with him forever.
