Support for the Children of Rashonda Greene – Victim of a Tragic DUI Crash
Story:
On the night of Monday, June 16, 2025, our family’s world was shattered. Rashonda Greene, a devoted mother, daughter, friend and woman of God was tragically killed in a horrific car crash caused by a drunk driver who ran a red light. Authorities described the impact as one of the most violent they have ever seen.
Rashonda was the heart of her home, a loving and deeply committed mother of my three younger siblings: a 12-year-old son, a 19-year-old son currently attending college, and a 21-year-old daughter just stepping into adulthood. Her sudden passing has left them grieving deeply and navigating an uncertain future. As their primary caregiver, she was one of their greatest sources of strength, love, and unwavering support. My siblings will now be relocating to live with their maternal grandmother, who is embracing them with love and stability as they work through the grief and challenges ahead. This transition comes with emotional and financial strain, and the goal of this fundraiser is to help ease that burden.
I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my siblings to help support them during this incredibly difficult time. Funds raised will go toward housing, daily living expenses, school and college related costs, and access to counseling and mental health support. Her children deserve the chance to heal and move forward without the weight of financial hardship compounding their pain. If you are able, please consider making a donation. Every contribution, no matter the size will help provide a sense of security and stability during this devastating time. And if you're not in a position to give, please consider sharing this campaign with your community.
Rashonda’s life was stolen through an act of senseless negligence, but her legacy of love, faith and resilience, lives on through her children. Let’s honor her memory by supporting those she cherished most. Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and prayers.
With love and gratitude,
Shakenia Greene
