A massive fire at the Copper Apartments not only displaced her completely from her home, but the heavy water used to extinguish the flames caused severe flooding to her apartment. Unfortunately, nothing inside was salvageable.

This tragedy doesn’t just affect her personally—it’s a huge blow to the many students she has poured her heart into. Rani has always gone above and beyond for her classroom, using her own hard-earned money to create a welcoming and enriching learning space. Among the items lost were student iPads, laptops, books, teaching materials, and supplies she’s collected over years of dedicated service.
