In the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 12th, my best friend's dad lost everything he owns in a devastating house fire. Thankfully, Randy was not home at the time and is safe. He did, however, lose his beloved pet cats. The house is a total loss, and unfortunately, there is no homeowner's insurance. This family is losing so much more than a house; they are losing a family home. My best friend and her sisters were raised there from birth to adulthood. Randy always kept an open door, and his home housed not only his own family, but plenty of friends through the years. Anyone close to Rose, Merenda, or Leigh has a memory in that house. It is also the home that this family said goodbye to their beloved wife and mom in. Any donations will be given directly to the family to help Randy rebuild his future. The home may be a total loss, but the memories we will cherish forever.
