My name is Hazem Elgarousha, and I reside in Canada while the rest of my family remains in Gaza. Rana Elbana is my niece, a remarkable individual who embodies compassion and dedication. She has always been a pillar of support for her family and an invaluable member of her community. Rana is an outstanding student and diligent worker who had a promising future until October 7th, when her life, like countless others, was turned upside down by the tragic events unfolding in Gaza—bombings, destruction, and the loss of loved ones.
Despite the chaos surrounding her, Rana remains unwavering in her determination to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor. Her goal is not just a personal ambition but a noble mission to serve and heal those in need, especially in times of crisis like the one Gaza is facing.
As her uncle, I am determined to support Rana in any way possible. I believe that relocating her to Egypt to continue her medical studies is crucial for her safety and future. Therefore, I humbly appeal to everyone to lend a helping hand to Rana. Hello world , My name is Rana Elbana, For the name remains when all is lost. I’ll turn 19 years old next April. Yes, my youthful time was wasted on horrible days, and yes, those days still continue. My name is Rana Elbana, and I am 19 years old. I am a first-year medical student at Al-Azhar University of Gaza.
I found myself compelled to launch this fundraiser as my sole remaining hope to assist myself to leave Gaza and complete my studies to help me rebuild my shattered life.
It was my dream from a young age to become a doctor, to see hope reflected in people's eyes as they look at doctors as if they were angels of mercy, alleviating pain and suffering. My grandfather always told me that he wished to see me wear white robes. He was a source of great motivation and inspiration for me in my studies. Unfortunately, I lost my grandfather in January 2023, when I was in the final stage of high school. I hope and insist on fulfilling my dream to make him proud of me, even while he is in heaven.
I graduated in August from high school with a rate of 98% in the scientific branch, which qualified me to enter the Faculty of Human Medicine at Al-Azhar University in Gaza.

From the 7th of October my life took a tragic turn, and our joy turned into tragedy. In a blink of an eye, I lost everything and became homeless. Two floors of my family house, along with my father’s project and only source of income, were severely destructed due to neighboring missiles. My university buildings were also heavily damaged. All forms of life have been reaped from my city. We have witnessed five wars, but never something this brutal. Each time, we feared the same threat: meeting our deaths under rubble .

Today is 175 of the war and as the days go on, it gets worse and more complicated. I literally live in constant fear and panic, not knowing what will happen next. The terrifying and difficult moments I have been living with since the first days of the war.
Your immediate support is my lifeline, my only hope to escape Gaza before the war claims my dreams along with my life. Every moment counts as I strive to flee this devastation and pursue my aspirations. Your assistance can make the crucial difference between despair and opportunity.
It should be in your knowledge that: It costs $6,000 – 10,000$ per person to get out of Rafah through the Boarder Crossing to Egypt. The rest of the donations will be to cover studying and living expenses, Also to help my family rebuild our demolished house and get back on their feet.
