Hello everyone,
My name is Hazem Aljarousha, I live in Canada, and I’m reaching out today to launch an urgent campaign to support my niece Rana Albana and her family of 8 in Gaza. They have lost their home, their source of income, and are living under constant bombing and repeated displacement. As her uncle, it is my duty to raise their voice and ask for your support today.
Here is her story in her own words:
I am Rana Albana, 20 years old, a first-year medical student at Al-Azhar University in Gaza. Since childhood, I dreamed of becoming a doctor to ease people’s pain and bring back hope. But the war turned my life upside down.
Since the beginning of the conflict, we have been displaced eight times. Each time, we lost what little safety we had and found ourselves without shelter, without enough food, and always in search of clean water. Life has become a daily struggle with fear, hunger, and the loss of the basics of living.
Children who should spend their time learning and playing have also become victims of war. My three siblings lost their right to education: Khalil in high school couldn’t finish his studies because of two years of ongoing war, Ibrahim in middle school lost his chance to study completely, and Zeina in elementary school couldn’t continue her learning properly. After losing their education, they now spend their days doing heavy tasks just to survive—collecting wood, making fires to cook, carrying water, and baking bread every single day. Every day brings new struggles and dangers, yet they keep pushing through with resilience.
The crisis doesn’t stop there. My father suffers from chronic illnesses and struggles to move or work, which makes life even harder. With no income and a home that is no longer livable, we urgently need safe shelter, food, clean water, medicine, and any immediate support to survive. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference and gives us hope in the middle of this hardship.
Today, I appeal to your humanity and generosity. Your support can help an entire family survive, hold on to hope, and stay strong through this dark time. To everyone reading this: you are our hope. مرحباً بالجميع،
اسمي حازم الجاروشة، أعيش في كندا، وأكتب إليكم اليوم لإطلاق حملة عاجلة لدعم ابنة أخي رنا البنا وعائلتها المكوّنة من 8 أفراد في غزة. فقدوا منزلهم ومصدر دخلهم، ويعيشون تحت القصف المستمر والنزوح المتكرر. كعمّ لها، من واجبي أن أرفع صوتهم للعالم وأطلب دعمكم للوقوف إلى جانبهم اليوم.
ها هي قصتها بكلماتها الخاصة:
أنا رنا البنا، أبلغ من العمر 20 عاماً، طالبة في السنة الأولى بكلية الطب في جامعة الأزهر بغزة. حلمت منذ طفولتي أن أصبح طبيبة لأخفف الألم وأعيد الأمل للآخرين، لكن الحرب قلبت حياتي رأساً على عقب.
منذ بداية الحرب نزحنا ثماني مرات، وفي كل مرة نفقد المكان الذي نشعر فيه بالأمان، ونجد أنفسنا بلا مأوى، بلا طعام كافٍ، وبحاجة مستمرة إلى الماء النظيف. الحياة أصبحت صراعاً يومياً مع الخوف، الجوع، والحرمان من أبسط مقومات الحياة.
الأطفال الذين يفترض أن يقضوا وقتهم في التعليم واللعب أصبحوا ضحايا الحرب أيضاً. إخوتي الثلاثة فقدوا حقهم في التعليم: خليل في الثانوية لم يتمكن من استكمال دراسته بسبب الحرب المستمرة لعامين، إبراهيم في المرحلة الإعدادية حُرم تماماً من الدراسة، وزينة في الابتدائية لم تتمكن من متابعة تعليمها بشكل طبيعي. بعد أن فقدوا التعليم، أصبحوا يقضون معظم وقتهم في أعمال شاقة للبقاء على قيد الحياة: جمع الحطب، إشعال النار للطبخ، تعبئة المياه، وخبز الخبز يومياً. كل يوم يحمل معه تحديات جديدة ومخاطر، ومع ذلك يصرّون على الصمود.
الأزمة لا تتوقف هنا. فوالدي يعاني من أمراض مزمنة ويجد صعوبة كبيرة في الحركة والعمل، مما يزيد العبء على العائلة. ومع فقدان مصدر دخلنا الأساسي ومنزلنا الذي لم يعد صالحاً للسكن، أصبحنا بحاجة ماسة إلى مأوى آمن، طعام، مياه نظيفة، دواء، وأي دعم عاجل يساعدنا على البقاء. كل تبرع مهما كان صغيراً يُحدث فرقاً حقيقياً ويمنحنا أملاً في هذه الظروف القاسية.
أناشدكم اليوم بإنسانيتكم وكرمكم. تبرعاتكم ستساعد عائلة كاملة على البقاء والأمل والصمود وسط هذا الظلام. لكل من يقرأ هذه الكلمات: أنتم الأمل. شكراً لدعمكم، لمشاركتكم، ولدعواتكم. وسنوافيكم بالتحديثات لإثبات أن كل تبرع يصل مباشرة للعائلة.
